Choosing the right fins for scuba diving is an exciting decision; you have many places to choose from. The most popular ones are the original full foot fins; but there have been many changes and advances to those original designs. The full foot ones are mostly used in snorkeling adventures. You can use the traditional fins for easier up and down movements in the water; they are most widely used for currents and free diving. The choice is most definitely yours; go for comfort, design, and agility!  I definitely stick with the ones that are recommended by the experts. There are numerous places to go and do research for the right fins. I have never found any reason to not trust the experts. If the design bothers me; than I just go for the comfort. I believe that is the right thing to do.
