Choosing dive gears are essential to the scuba diving because it supports you underwater and gives you accurate information to make sound decisions when you are diving. Don’t get confused as to what is for what, here is a list that will help you get familiarized with scuba diving gears, important equipment a diver must be familiar with.

A wetsuit will keep you warm when scuba diving, this is important specially when diving in cooler waters. For you to sink in the water a weight system is needed there are two kinds: weight belt and integrated belt. SPG or submersible pressure gauge is used in scuba diving to measure how much air is left in your tank.

Regulator is what you use to breath the air from the tank. Alternate air source is your back up regulator. When scuba diving, a compass comes in handy when you need to know where you are and which direction you should take.

BCD (Buoyancy control device) is the jacket that divers wear when scuba diving. Cylinder is the tank that carries the air that you breath when scuba diving. Depth gauge, this piece of equipment tells you how deep you are. Fins allow you to swim faster and easier underwater.
