Diving has been one of my extreme sports cum hobbies. I have earned my SCUBA Open Water Diver certification from PADI over six years ago at once, one of the 10 most beautiful island in the world.
Two years later, I have upgraded my license to Advanced Open Water (AOW) Diver. The AOW allows me to dive deeper and most importantly, permits me to follow my fellow dive buddies during their night dive trips.
I personally think that diving is an extreme yet healthy sports and will not pose any danger should all the safety precautious are followed accordingly. Diving gears for example must be well maintened in order to ensure that they will work properly during our dive session.
Treat your gears as your buddy as they will take care of you during dive session. I will write more on this in my next posts, but what I’m trying to emphasize here is that you should not worry of your safety as diving is considered one of the safest sports.
If you wish to dive but not sure if you’re comfortable under the surface, you may go for Discover Scuba session offered at selected dive centres. Discover Scuba is for those who never dive before but wish to experience the adrenalin rush.
If you feel that it is your cup of tea, you may proceed. Else, you may take it as a one in a lifetime experience (Hey!, at least you can tell your friends that you have dived before!).
